1. Information We Collecta. Account Information
When you create a Verto account, we collect:Email address
Username and display name
Password (stored securely via Supabase authentication; we never store plaintext passwords)

You may optionally provide personal profile details to enhance your experience:
Age, gender, weight, and height
Activity level
This information is used to personalize AI-generated habit plans and recommendations.c. Habit & Activity Data
We collect data you create within the App, including:
Habits, daily logs, and completion records
Journal entries and daily ratings
Streak and milestone datad. Photos
You may upload photos for:
Progress tracking
Vision boards
Photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers unless explicitly shared through social features.e. Health Data
With your explicit permission, Verto can read data from Apple Health (HealthKit), including:
Step count
Active calories burned
Heart rate and resting heart rate
Sleep analysis
Exercise minutes
Walking/running distance
Verto only reads health data — it does not write to Apple Health. Health data is used solely to display insights within the App and is never sold or shared with third parties.f. Social & Friends Data
If you use social features, we collect:
Friend connections and requests
Feed posts (achievement milestones shared with friends)
Likes and comments on friends' postsg. AI Chat Data
When you interact with the AI coach feature, your prompts and the AI-generated responses are processed to provide personalized recommendations. Conversations are processed through our AI service provider and are not used to train third-party AI models.h. Device & Usage Data

Device type and operating system version
App usage patterns (e.g., feature usage frequency)

Detect and prevent fraud or abuse3. Data Storage & SecurityLocal Storage: Habit data, journal entries, photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
Cloud Storage: Account information, friend connections, and social data are stored securely on Supabase, our cloud infrastructure provider.
Authentication: We use Supabase Auth with industry-standard encryption for account security.
Keychain: Sensitive tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain.
Encryption: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.4. Third-Party ServicesVerto integrates with the following third-party services:

Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of Verto, our users, or the public.6. Your Rights & ChoicesYou have the following rights regarding your data:
Access & Export: You can export all your habit data as a CSV file from Settings > Data & Privacy.
Deletion: You can delete all local data from Settings > Data & Privacy > Clear All Local Data.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your data from our servers.
Health Data: You can revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.
Notifications: You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
Profile Information: You can update or remove optional profile details at any time.7. Children's PrivacyVerto is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us @[email protected]8. Data RetentionWe retain your account data for as long as your account is active.
Upon account deletion, we delete your data from our servers within 30 days.
Local data on your device is deleted when you use the "Clear All Local Data" feature or uninstall the App.
Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics purposes.9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale of your personal information (Verto does not sell personal information)

International UsersIf you are accessing Verto from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are located.
